On-Contract/On-Demand Physical Design Role

Kaben Wireless Silicon Inc. is a leading RFIC developer and Semiconductor IP provider addressing Next Generation wireless communications based on multiple standards (Bluetooth, FM, GPS, Wi-Fi, W-USB, WiMAX ect.). KABEN specializes in high-perfomance designs of reconfigurable transceivers, field-programmable on-chip tunable Filter (SAW replacement) and Frequency Synthesizers (ultra-low phase-noise, Ultra-low spur level) for embedded and stand-alone use.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced individual capable of supporting KABEN's effort in building RF/analog/mixed-signal IC circuits. As a member of the engineering design team the individual in this role will be focused on the development of analog/mixed-signal integrated circuits, involved in all phases of physical design, verification and data preparation. Working closely with the circuit designers, the individual in this role is responsible for developing sub-block layouts from circuit schematics, verifying these sub-blocks and the assembling and top level integrated circuit verification.

Principal Duties

  • Work with the project prime and designers on physical design
  • Floor planning of top level and sub-block circuits
  • Generating the pad ring and any associated pads
  • Design and verify all sub-block layouts
  • Assemble all sub-blocks, connect and verify the top level
  • Verify that all density requirements are met, adding the appropriate fill
  • Stream out design GDSII
  • Provide any supporting documentation

Requirements

  • Willing to work on an on-contract/on-demand basis

Qualifications

  • 5+ years highly relevant experience with the physical design and verification of analog/mixed signal
  • Established track record of delivering first pass success IC physical designs
  • Experience with Industry Standard Design Tools (Cadence, Mentor Graphics, etc.)
  • Experience with current Bipolar, BiCMOS and CMOS processes
