Current Opportunities Senior Digital Asic Design Engineer Position Summary: A senior member of the IC engineering design team focused on the development of state-of-the-art custom Digital Integrated Circuits (ICs). The individual in this role is responsible for leading the development of integrated micro-controllers with embedded peripherals. You will develop the architecture and design with an ARM Cortex M0 embedded micro-controller, compile memories, as well as code in a Hardware Description Language (HDL) and verification in a High-level Verification Language (HVL). You will also contribute to technology implementation including synthesis and timing analysis, as well as lab testing of engineering samples. Principal Duties: - Contribute to the capture of design specifications and verification plans.
- Contribute to micro-controller development planning, including accurate design resource and effort estimates.
- Contribute to digital architecture development, including design, simulation, analysis, coding, debugging, implementation, and lab testing of engineering samples.
- Contribute to ASIC development including micro-controller peripherals, RTL design capture and functional verification, synthesis and timing analysis, physical design support.
- Work cooperatively with other cross-functional teams to understand and deliver on project requirements.
- Support the development of supporting digital circuits (ie; SPI, I2C, Delta-Sigma Modulator, digital filters)
- Manage and contribute in the documentation of IC development activities
Qualifications: Education: - Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience: - 6+ years of relevant experience with digital circuit development
- 3+ years of leadership roles in digital circuit development
- Experience working with system, analog circuit and software teams in the successful integration of analog, sampled data and digital functions
- Established track record of delivering first pass success IC designs
- Experience with Industry Standard Design Tools (Cadence, Mentor Graphics, maltab/Simulink, etc.)
- Experience with CMOS processes in 180/130/90/65 nm an asset
Skills:
- Experience in Digital ASIC development including the use of ARM Cortex M0 and memory compilers.
- Knowledgeable in digital signal processing and digital communication systems analysis.
- Experienced in Verilog HDL for implementation and verification of digital circuits that include memory interfaces to embedded processors.
- Experience in System Verilog for design verification would be an asset.

IC (RF & M/S) Design Prime/Project Manager
Position Summary: A senior member of the IC engineering design team focused on the development of state-of-the-art Analog and Radio Frequency (RF) Communication Based Integrated Circuits (ICs). The individual in this role is responsible for leading and managing projects and developing circuits targeting customer driven Design Specifications.
Principal Duties: - Provide technical leadership role in analog/RF/mixed signal IC architecture, circuit and sub-circuit development, including floor planning and physical design
- Manage projects and prioritize and schedule activities to meet customer requirements
- Lead the development of IC Level Design Requirements definition to be used by multi-discipline engineering teams
- Lead the development of supporting digital circuits (ie; serial interface, Delta-Sigma Modulator, digital filters)
- Lead and contribute in the development of an analog/RF IC characterization and test platform
- Manage and contribute in the documentation of IC development activities
Qualifications:
Education: - Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience: - 10+ years of relevant experience with analog/RF subsystem development including several of LNAs, mixers, oscillators, frequency synthesizers, opamps, power amplifiers, VGAs, continuous time filters, and support circuits (ie; bandgap references, current mirrors, etc.)
- 3+ years of project management and leadership roles in analog/RF/mixed signal IC development
- Experience working with System and digital circuit teams in the successful integration analog/RF and digital functions
- Established track record of delivering first pass success IC designs
- Experience with Digital Sigma-Delta Modulators would be an asset

Job Description We are looking for an experienced individual capable of supporting KABEN's effort in building RF/analog/mixed-signal IC circuits. As a member of the engineering design team the individual in this role will be focused on the development of analog/mixed-signal integrated circuits, involved in all phases of physical design, verification and data preparation. Working closely with the circuit designers, the individual in this role is responsible for developing sub-block layouts from circuit schematics, verifying these sub-blocks and the assembling and top level integrated circuit verification.
